Ubisoft has officially announced the launch of Year 10 Season 3, titled Operation High Stakes, with a full rollout scheduled for September 2 across all Rainbow Six Siege X platforms. A cinematic teaser dropped on Ubisoft’s YouTube channel last Friday, and the full season reveal aired yesterday via Twitch — offering players a first look at the upcoming operator, gadget, and major system changes coming to the live service shooter.

New Operator: Denari (Defender – Switzerland)

Operation High Stakes introduces Denari, a Swiss defender equipped with a powerful new gadget:

  • T.R.I.P. Laser Emitters – Deployable laser nodes that stun attackers and ping their position, giving defenders crucial intel during breaches.

  • Primary Weapon: Glaive-12 Slug Shotgun – Highly effective in close-to-mid range fights, making Denari ideal for anchor-style play on tight maps.

Major Map Modernization Initiative

In addition to the new operator, Ubisoft confirmed a long-term effort to modernize every map currently in the game.
Starting this season, three maps per season will receive updates that include:

  • Updated lighting systems

  • New destructible materials

  • Enhanced texture fidelity

The goal is to visually align legacy maps with Siege X’s improved engine and bring them up to today’s gameplay standards without altering layout fundamentals.

R6 Shieldguard & Cheater Mitigation

Ubisoft also addressed the return of many former players — a positive trend — but acknowledged that it has resulted in a renewed wave of cheating. The R6 Shieldguard team is currently focused on:

  • Wallhack detection

  • Recoil tampering countermeasures

Updates are already rolling out, and the team emphasized its commitment to minimizing false positives while removing bad actors quickly and permanently.

Reputation System and Communication Moderation

Finally, Ubisoft shared an update on the game’s new automated voice and text moderation system, now live across all regions. The system ties directly into the player reputation system, which affects matchmaking and communication access:

  • Positive / NeutralNormal matchmaking and chat
  • Low ReputationLonger queue times + temporary or permanent communication bans

Players can commend teammates to improve their standing, while repeated toxic behavior will continue to decrease reputation over time.
