Honor Expands Its Foldable Lineup Globally
Honor has officially brought its latest book-style foldable, the Magic V5, to new international markets after an initial launch in China. The device is now available in the UK and across Europe, putting it head-to-head with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Google’s Pixel Fold.
Pricing and Availability
The Honor Magic V5 is priced at £1,699.99 in the UK and €1,999 across Western Europe for the configuration with 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. Customers can choose from four colors: Ivory White, Black, Dawn Gold, and Reddish Brown.
Thinner Than Ever
Honor claims the Ivory White Magic V5 is the thinnest foldable on the market, measuring just 4.2mm when open and 9.39mm when closed. While some debate whether Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 still holds the crown, the Magic V5’s slim profile is among the sleekest available.
Bigger Battery for Longer Use
One of the standout features is the 5,820mAh silicon-carbon battery, the largest ever in a foldable phone. Honor says it can stream YouTube on the main display for up to 14.5 hours under lab conditions, making it a serious contender for heavy users.
Displays and Performance
The Magic V5 comes with a 7.95-inch inner flexible OLED display and a 6.43-inch cover screen, both running at 120Hz with peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. Powering the device is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, with configurations offering up to 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM.
Camera System and AI Features
Honor has equipped the Magic V5 with a triple rear camera system:
-
50MP wide lens
-
64MP periscope telephoto
-
50MP ultra-wide camera
On the front, there are two 20MP selfie cameras. AI-powered features such as AI Enhanced Portrait, Harcourt Portrait, and AI Super Zoom aim to deliver sharper, more creative photography.
Bottom Line
With its slim design, massive battery, and premium hardware, the Honor Magic V5 represents one of the strongest foldable alternatives to Samsung and Google. Now that it’s available in the UK and Europe, the competition in the foldable market is heating up.
